Attorney Harry Payton has more than 35 years of experience representing clients in court. He is one of a select few who has been board-certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in two areas: civil trial and business litigation. Certification is The Florida Bar's highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Harry is recognized by many legal professionals for his high standards of professionalism. In 2012, he was appointed to serve on the Supreme Court of Florida's Committee on Professionalism for the 11th Judicial Circuit. His excellent legal skills have earned him inclusion in the South Florida Legal Guide's list of Top Lawyers in Complex Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Litigation since 2005, and recognition on the list of Florida Super Lawyers since 2006. For over 30 years, he has received an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell, an indicator of a lawyer's high ethical standards and professional ability.
In 2015, attorney Patrick Rengstl joined the firm as Senior Counsel. Patrick has significant experience in fraud-related and fraudulent transfer cases; has first-chaired the administration of many SEC, FTC and CFTC receivership estates, including claims and distribution procedures; has litigated countless ancillary receivership cases and summary proceedings; and has helped secure the recovery of tens of millions of dollars for the benefit of investors and consumers around the world. In addition, Patrick has been lead counsel in one of the first - if not the first - corporate monitor fiduciary appointments in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. Patrick has also litigated countless cases involving various title-related and foreclosure claims on behalf of title insurance companies, lenders, and property owners. He has represented title insurance companies in coverage cases, as well as defalcation cases where title agents misappropriate closing funds.
